PARITY QUESTION IN AUSTRALIA.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.) (Received October 7, 10 a.m.)
MELBOURNE. This Day.
The Wheat Bill passed its third reading in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly after a stubborn fight by the Progressives to secure the world's parity. The Government members emphatically opposed the parity, and the consequent increase in the price of bread. -
Mr. Storey (Premier) has been approached by the Premiei of South Australia, who is seeking an immediate conference of Premiers to deal with the world's parity difficulty.
