(AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, sth October. The majority ot the miners are back at work, after a one-day .protest strike. The fact of the executive advising the men to reject the datum is not surprising, as it is largely in the hands of the younger and extreme element. It is still believed that a .majority of the fields ■will favour a settlement, with the exception of South Wales.
LONDON, 6th October. The Welsh miners have resumed work.
