SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Another delightful concert was provided foi' seafarers by Mrs. A. Wilson at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening, when popular items of a vocal, instrumental, and elocutionary nature were given. The performers were:—Mesdames A. Wilson, Macfarlane, Chalk, Harding, Massey, Parkinson, J. Lewis, and Messrs. Bowen, Harvey, Hosier, Murphy, Major Macfarlane, and" Master Arthnr Chalk. ■Mesdames Wilson, Macfarlane, and Harding, Miss Wilson, and Mr. Bowen were at the piano. Mr. Moore, who was in the. chair, led the competitions, for whioh the prizes came from the hostess and Miss J. Lewis, and went to the Paparoa, Port Nicholson, and Waiwera.
