Telegrams from "Montreal report vigorous opposition to the proposals of Irish sympathisers that! the American. Federation of Labour should demand the withdrawal of British troops ' f*om Ireland. Several Canadian delegates announced! that they would combat such a movel on British soil, white others intimated that they would withdraw if the question was brought up before the convention for debate. NEW YORK, 10th June. Addressing the Platform Committee'of the Federation of Labour at Chicago, Mr. Walsh pleaded for a pknk in the federation, platform pledging full and formal official recognition of Ireland's elected Government by the United States.
