ACCOMMODATION IN SCHOOLS
'The Mayor has been informed by the Department of Internal Affairs that the Chairman of the Education Board, Mr. T. Forsyth, has agreed to the use of two or three city schools in order to accommodate visitors during the time the Prince of Wales is in Wellington. It is made clear that the schools will, only be used as a last resource, and on condition that adequate safeguards against i)re. are taken.,. The Defence Department has agreed to supply the necessary blanlcets and palliasses. ' Care will be taken that' th 6 schools utilised are placed under'capable supervisors of both sexes, and the necessary patrols for both day and night will be appointed.
