Mr. TV*. R. Morris will take up his duties as Public Service Commissioner on Ist May. The Hon. G. Fowlds is in Sydney representing New Zealand at the annual meeting of the Australian Advisory Committee of the London Missionary Society. Lieutenant-Colonel J. L. Sleeman, 1.G.5., Director of Military Training, who is visiting the Canterbury Military District, is expected to return to Wellington on 11th April. ' , Mr. J. S. Hiddlestone, the well-known Wellington representative cricketer, has returned from a visit to the Old Country, and will again take up his residence in Wellington. I Mr. Thomas Alston Coleman (says a j Press Association telegram from Gisborne) has been appointed Commissioner of East Coast Native Estates in succession to his father.
