PRINTERS' STRIKE
. FAILURE OF NEGOTIATIONS. MELBOURNE, 30th March. Negotiations for a settlement of the printers', strike have failed. ■ [The strike, which started at the beginning of the month, affects about 2000 employees. The strikers demand increased wages and a reduction of the working hours from 48 to 44 per week.]
