AUCKLAND, 23rd March.

The following telegram was received this morning by the secretary of the Auckland Railway League from the secretary of the Huarau Tunnel Workers' Union :—"A meeting was held last night, and a motion was passed that the tunnel hands refuse to return to work until their demands are complied with, namely, 16s per shift for. tunnellers and 15s per day for outside workers, or until the Minister visits these works and confers with the men." •
