SETTLEMENT OF THE STRIKE,

WASHINGTON, 10th December.
The strike of half a million bituminous coal-miners has been settled. The miners have accepted the increases in wages offered by Mr. W B. Wilson. Secretary of Labour, and increases in the price of coal to the consumers is prohibited.
