WELLINGTON SUBURBS
MR, WRIGHT AT MIRAMAR
Mr. R. A. Wright addressed a meeting at the Miramar Town Hall last evening. The Mayor (Mr. G. Stone) occupied the chair.
Mr. Wright quoted figures to show that the repatriation of returned soldiers was receiving great consideration at the hands of the Department. An earnest effort was being made to settle the soldiers on the land, and good work had been done. Referring to the platform of the Labour party, attention was drawn to the absence of a plank advocating a White New Zealand. The International Socialists regarded every man as a brother, regardless of civilisation j and
if this policy were adhered to New Zealand could be flooded with Asiatic labour.
Mr. Wright received a good hearing, and was accorded a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the meeting.
