Interviewed at Los Ageles, Dempsey said he was ready to meet Carpentier at any time, at any place, for any number of rounds, under^ any conditions.

CHICAGO, Bth December. Mr. Kearns has announced that Mr. Cochran has' offered Dempsey 175,000 dollars to meet Carpentier.
