LODGE MEETINGS
At the meeting of the Pride of Brooklyn Lodge, No. 58, U.A.0.D., last week, A.D. Bro. Braines presided over a large attendance of members and visitors. After general business had been despatched, Bro. Haddy, of Britannia Lodge, Sydney, in association with Bro. Deering, also of that lodge, conveyed fraternal greetings from Druids in New South Wales, and spoke with emphasis on the advantages of the Australian Druidical budget, The Austral Druid, and urged members to give their whole support to a similar paper published in New Zealand. Consolidation was also a subject on which Bro. Haddy gave his views. Bro. Sargent, P.D.P., referred to some of the items 'to be published in the December issue of the New Zealand Druidical'Budget. A vote of thanks was expressed to "the visiting brethren. It was decided to pay an official visit, to Holly Lodge on the 13th inst., on the occasion of their leturned soldiers' night. Sister lodges are to be invited to a grand night to be held on Thursday week, when officers -will be initiated and the Royal Arch Chapter Shield presented^ to the lodge. At the'close of the meeting card enthusiasts indulged in five hundred. Keen competition provided a source of entertainment to non-players, and a good night's enjoyment was spent.
