TIMARU, 9th December. At a. meeting of the Timaru section of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association to-night a motion was passed protesting against the action of the Government in referring tho matter of the payment of the war bonus to a tribunal, oonsidering that ample evidence has been produced to indicate that a definite promise had been made by Sir Joseph Ward, and expressing appreciation of the executive committee's effort in securing the amendment in the right of appeal; and that the branch advocated that half pay bo paid to all officers of the P. and T. who served with the Expeditionary Forces.
