ROWING
In Trial Fours of the Star Boating Club, Wakelin (stroke), Brown (3), Herd (2), and Nelson (bow) had an easy victory over Diehl (stroke), Oborn (3), Pringle (2), and Wakelin (bow). Wakelin*s and M'Grath's crews are in ' the final, which is to be rowed as soon as the weather permits.
At Petone's Inter-Club Regatta last Saturday the club's crews were placed in all the events in which they started. In the Youths' Fours and the Junior Fours they were placed first, and in the Maiden Fours second. The win in th*. Junior Fours was unexpected, as the crew consisted entirely of youths who had rowed in previous races during the afternoon.
The drawing of the crews for the Ladies' Fours, to be rowed on Saturday next, resulted as follows: —
