WITHIN A STONE'S THROW.
A house hunter saw _n advertisement in the papers describing a charming house "within a stone's throw of the station." Ho made a-n appointment, and in due course was escorted lo the house in question, two miles away. When they reached the threshold he turned to the agent sauvoly "Would you mind introducing me," ho whispered, "to the person who throw that stone?"
