BAND CONCERT.
The Christchureh Tramway Band is to visit Wellington this week-end at the invitation of the Wellington Municipal Tramways Military Band. The visiting combination—an all-brass band—has a big reputation in the South, and the recital should draw the large patronage it deservedly merits. The items will include "The Golden Sceptre" overture, a very fine and now arrangement of Wallace's "Maritana," Greenwood's fantasia "Victoria Cross," and Rimmer's "Gems of Song." Assisting the band will be several of New Zealand's . best artists, and a performance of more than average artistic success is promised.
