ALLAN WILKIE SEASON.
To-night and to-morrow night will be the last opportunities Wellington audiences will have of'seeing the ever-popu-lar melodrama, "The Silver King, as played by Allan Wilkie and his talent-, ed company at the Grand Opera House. Mr. Wilkie's interpretation of the role of Wilfred Denver is excellent, and Miss Frediswyde Hunter Watts, as the faithful wife, also scores heavily. On Saturday next, Mr. Wilkie's second dramatic attraction will be Stanley Houghton's famous play, "Hindle Wakes." "Hindle Wakes" is the play that ran with success for over two hundred performances at the Playhouse and Court Theatres, London, and is breaking records all_ over the world. It is said that this is the most original, daring, and extraordinary play that has ever been presented to a, New Zealand audience. Mr. Wilkie has been parliouUrly fortunate in securing the services of Mr. Edward Landor, who, will be seen in his original part of Sir Timothy Farrar, as played by him in the first production at the Aldwych Theatre, and during the many subsequent revivals of the play.
