HARRIERS
■On Saturday the Brooklyn Harriers and A.A. Club held a sports day at Mframar Park instead of the weekly run. The keen wind blowing made it unpleasant for the competitors and spectators, but some very oloso finishes were recorded in the various events. In the long jump T. Collins, with 17ft %\n, was Ist; H. Robinson, 16ft s^-in, 2nd. High jump: H. Robinson, 4ft sin, 1; F. Hill, 4ft 4in, 2. Hop, step, and jump: S. Townsond, 33ft 6in, 1; T. Collins, 33ft 3in, 2. Putting 161b shot: S. Townsend. 25ft 4in, 1; H. Robinson, 24ft 9in, 2. The points prize was gained by H. Robinson (7), S. Townsond (6 points) being second, T. Collins (5 points) third. 'Che events closed with the final of the run-in points prize.. Two members were equal in points. The event caused a good deal of interest. A straight 400 yards handicap, in which all the members took part, Tesulted in H. Buli being- placed first, L. Todd second, and D. Wilson third. By beating N. Meecb, H. Bull secured most points during the season, and won the run-in trophy. TJio final run of the season takes place next Saturday, when the Consolation Race will be run from Te Aro Baths, after which the members will be- the guests of the club committee at the club rooms.
