ELECTRIC LIGHTING RETURNS
Compared with the same mouth last year, the revenue collected by the City Council's electric lighting > department during the month of June, showed an increase of £831, while the working expenses increased by £770. For the first three months of the current financial year the revenue totalled £26,914, against £§4,845 last year, an increase of £2069. The increase in the working expenses, however, was £1879, or only £190 less. The number of units sold during the three months was 1,663,559, an increase of 164,513.
