A DANGEROUS PRACTICE
The Railway Department has great difficulty in preventing persons trespassing on the railway line in the vicinity of the Petone station. The locality is a very dangerous one, ami only recently a bad Occident occurred through the practice complained of. At the Petone Court this morning, before Messrs. W. Coles, J. W. M'Ewan, and James Korr, J.P.s, the police prosecuted E. Lawrence for this offence, and intimated, that on future occasions the full pena-lty of £10 would be asked for. Defendant was fined fll and 5s costs.
