DUNEDIN,.2nd May.

The inquest on the body ,; of Annie Tonner, who died under an anaesthetic at the hospital last week, concluded today. Dr. Drennan's evidence was to tho effect that deceased died suddenly from heart failure due to inflammatory condition over the left lung and over the heart, and death might have occurred suddenly apart from any anaesthetic or operative interference. In view of deceased's condition an operation was the only possible resort. A verdict was returned according to the medical evidence.
