RHINE DEFENCE
BRITISH AND AMERICAN UNDERTAKINGS
PRESIDENT WILSON'S PROMISE.
PARIS, 2nd May.
A compromise has been reached between French and American views on the Rhinaf problem, whereby Britain agrees to send an army to France without delay if German troops cross the Rhine, and President Wilson has promised to endeavour, to persuade the United States Senate to agree to a. similar ■undertaking.
