SURPRISE PACKETS
The appeal now being made to the public by the commercial travellers, is the first that has been made in the Dominion on behalf of the dependents of those of the British mercantile marine who have suffered in the discharge of .their noble duty. . Those willing tp help in the good cause are invited to send subscriptions to the secretary of the Wellington Travellers' Club, whilst an opportunity will be given the smaller subscribers next Thursday and Friday, when surprise packets will be sold for Is each, every one containing a prize, A glanoe at the display of goods in the window, Commerolal Hotel Buildings, Lambton-quay, will convince everyone of the excellent value offered.
