FREIGHTS AND FARES
Mr. W. A. Kennedy (Wellington manager for the Union Company) stated today that freights aAd fares for the company's intercolonial service have been increased to bring them in line with the increased rates announced by the Hud-dart-Parker Company, Ltd., yesterday. Freight charges will now be 35s per ton, and the single saloon and steerage fares to Sydney will be £9 17s and £5 lis respectively. These advances are made in view of the quarantine restrictions in Australia and New Zealand..
