REPATRIATION
DISAPPOINTMENT FOR BOARD.
One of the Central Repatriation Board' 6 troubles at present is the dilatoriness or laxity of various organisations in provincial towns in responding to the request for the nomination of persons suitable for positions on district repatriation committees. A letter for the purpose was sent out on 14th January. City organisations "generally sent in names without avoidable delay, but similar bodies in a, number of provincial towns have not yet stirred. This sluggishness is a serious check to the board's plans for systematic progress. Unless this disappointing inertia is 6oon changed into energy the Central Board will be .obliged to make other arrangements for the formation of district committees.
