SUPPOSED SUICIDE
An inqoiry is to be held relative to the death of an elderly woma.n, Mrs. Maria Johnston, 62 y^ars of age, who was found hanging by a rope round her neck in a wash-house at 14, Majori-banks-6treet, yesterday afternoon. The deceased, who, up k> about four months ago, had been a suicidal patient at the Porirua Mental Hospital, lived, with her husband, and her daughter amd Bon-in-law in Marjoribanks-street. Deceased went about the house as usual up to about half-past two, but a little after three o'clock the son-in-law had occasion to go out to the waeh-house, and therefound deceased hanging.
