(IT TELEGRAPH.—PRBSS ASSOCIATION.) WAIMATE, This Day. There were two deaths from influenza yesterday. There have been no fresh admissions. Seven Morven V.A.D.'s are down in hospital. The superintendent says there are still many mild cases in the country districts. The retailers met to-day, and resolved to resume ordinary shop hours, and also to ask. the Health officer to lift the restrictions on tea rooms and hotels. GREYMOUTH, This Day. There have been five deaths since Friday. All cases in the Technical School have been removed to the Main Hospital. The fourteen inmates at St. Columbia Club are all doing well. The weather is still unsettled, and very wintery. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The position as regards influenza is improving rapidly. The hospital returns show four admissions from Friday midnight till noon to-day, and no deaths. The Sunday tram service was run yesterday for the first time for several weeks. HAWERA, This Day. The epidemic is regarded as practically at an end in Hawera. The convalescent hospital was closed on Saturday, and it is hoped to close the temporary institutions at Winter Show Buildings to-morrow. Two deaths from the effects of influenza occurred this morning. Mr. Philip Wallas, who was born at Richmond, Nelson, in 1E47, succumbed after ! a sharp attack, and a well-known Maori woman, named Mrs.- Watchman, was the other victim.
