THE HUTT VALLEY
The Petone temporary hospital is being closed to-day. One patient is being transferred to the Wellington Hospital, and the others to their own homes, or the homes of friende.
Some misapprehension evidently exists in the mind of the public in regard to the services of those helping at the Petoue hospital. It cannot be too emphatically stated that all the work of the nurses and other helpers, with the exception of the men sent by the Defence Department, was purely voluntary. The Lower Hutt hospital was closed on Saturday.
