Dr. Mandl, of Foxton, has been presented by the Mayor (Mr. Chrystall), on behalf of the citizens and district settlers, with a testimonial appreciative of Ms splendid efforts during the Tecent epidemic. Dr. Mandl had to attend two temporary hospitals and look after town and district patients and , Maoris single-handed. The low mortality was a splendid testimony to hii skill and untiring and unselfish effort*.
