UNION WITH GERMANY
AUSTRIA'S ONLY POLICY. ■ VIENNA, 4th. December. Am English newspaper correspondent interviewed Herr Bauer (Foreign Minister), who said that documents in the Foreign Office proved that Austro-Hun-garian statesmen foresaw the dissolution of the Empire, and hoped to forestall it by crushing Serbia's rising power. He added that Austria's only future policy was in union with Germany. He hoped that the Peace Conference would assent to this.
