AUCKLAND HEALTH AFFAIRS

Attention was drawn by Mr. C. J. Parr in the House of Representatives yesterday to the statement by members of the Press delegation regarding the conditions on the Makura. The Minister of Public Health said that he had seen for two or three days that a radical change was necessary in regard to the conduct of health matters at Auckland. This confirmed his impression. He had Bent the Chief Health Officer to Auckland to take the nutter into his own i hands, and he would act as Dr. Valintdno advised even if it meant the removal of the quarantine restriction.
