TO KEEP NICKEL PLATING CLEAN.
Most motorists will welcomo «>.mo means of keeping nickel bright and clean, oven in wot and windy woother. A. correspondent favours us with . a process ho has found of much advantage. A solution, is made of one pint of arnyl acetate, a, quarter pint of acetone, and in ounce of scrap celluloid. The tiny pieces of celluloid ore placed in, » bottle, into which tho acotono is poured. Tho bottle is then shaken briskly until the celluloid is dissolvod to tho consistency of glue. Afterwards tho amyl acetate is "added, and another good shaking J3 given. The mixture may then bo used for painting thd nickel, on which it will form a hard and dry surface, which cannot be affected by water or air. Tho solution should always be kept in a tightly-corked bottle.
