NEW AUSTRALIAN SCALE OP WAGES. MELBOURNE, 4th December. In the Arbitration Court a claim by the Australian Institute of Marino Engineers against the shipping companies, tiie Court awarded a scale of wages ranging from : Chief, £23 to £42; ' second, £21 to £28; third, £19 to £24; fourth, £16 10a to £21; fifth, £15 10s, according to steamers and horse-power.
