CAPPELLI CONCERT.
.This evening,, at the Grand ' Opera House, Signor CappelH, the famous Ital-: ian. .operatic tenor, will give the first of his three farewell concerts, for at the conclusion of the Wellington season he is returning ti>- Australia. -.For eac]} 'of the three concerts -special programmes have been arranged, and to-night's programme should make a.strong appeal,to concert-goers. . Included among Cappelli's numbers are Verdi's "I Shall Behold Her" (from "The Masked Ball"), Boito's "Nearing the End of Life,'? "So Charming Her Voice" (Verdi), and the same composer's "Celeste Aida." Mr. John Amadio,; the brilliant flautist, will play Chopin's Nocturne in F Sharp Major, and the Valse in J) Flat; also Beethoven's "Minuette" and tTerschak's "Spring." Ayoung_ soprano new to Wellington audiences will make her appearance to-night in' Miss Naialina M'pallum, who is spoken • very highly of . by the Northern critics. Her numbers will be Sanderson's ' 'Valley 0f..: Laughter and '' Spring's Awakening." Signor Lucien , Cesaroni, the popular basso, will sing "Redemption Mundi Deus" (from Mozart's "The Magic Flute") and "0 Star of Eve" (from "Tannhauser."). Mr. Harold !
