HARBOURING A DESERTER
A; WOMAN PRISONER TO BE
RELEASED.
. . Reference was made at the meetings of-Mrr Fraser and Mr. Hildreth yesterday to the case of a woman who had been sentenced to six months' .imprisonment because she had harboured her son (a military deserter). This complaint has been "mentioned at several-meetings of Mr. Fraser and his platform helpers. The Minister of Justice (Hon. T. M. Wilfovd) stated to-day that Cabinet on Tuesday last had authorised the remission of the' iinexpired ■portion of the ■ -woman's sentence (-which'began on sth August), subject.'to'the'apprpvai of His Excellency the Governor.
