PAPER IN GERMAN HANDS.

(R-eceiyed August 19, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 18th August. Mr. Gordon Gilmour, writing from the Australiaji headquarters, states that the Germans abandoned vast stores of foodstuffs at Lihons, and large quantities oi wine, spirits, and sugar. A field hospital furnished further evidence of the shortage of cotton stuffs. Nightshirts, bandages, and string were found, all made of paper. They captured, several bicycles with scores of little spa-ings under an outer metal tire, instead of rubber tires.
