The Gorman authorities in Belgium bar© decided that tho German language shall be the only language used for all official business in tho provinces of Limburg, Liegei and Luxemburg. This applies to all classca of officialdom. Forty thousand Belgian refugees aro receiving financial assistance- in. England. In the second report of the War gees' Committee, just issued, it is announced that there is no foundation for >Jna curious but widespread belief that the money expended on the maintenance of Bolgian refugees is, or will bo ultimately, provided by the Belgian Government. The cost, which cannot be leas than £6,000,000 has fallen on private British hosts, on contributions in money or land, on ■ the War Refugees' Committee and the- British Government. The largo majority of tho refugees arc now, tho ruport suyo, regular wago-earners.
