THE EXISTING AGREEMENTS
Commenting on a statement published^ that the consensus of opinion in coal mining companies is that.the .miners are, endeavouring to upset existing - agreements, Mr. ".W,'-.E.' Parry, .secretary of the Coalminers' Federation, stated to a-New Zealand Herald reporter:—"The coal miners have no intention of interfering with the body of existing agreements or conditions of work under these' agreements on .conditions; of work under these agreements.' All that they ask*for is sa readjustment of wages to meet the increased cost of living."
