Word lias been received in Wellington that Captain A. A. M'Nab, who was wounded in the right arm on 27th July last, has had the injured Jimb amputated. Captain s['Nab was one of the original Samoan Force, and on returning from there left with the 6th Reinforcements. He "was a well-known athlete and an old Nolson College boy.
Mr. T. M. Cullcn, Collector of Customs at Dnnsdin, will retire at the end of this month, ..after iorjy jeaw'^ffler.vi^u
