DUTCH SHIPPING
TO BE RELEASED FOR AMERICAN
TRADE,
NEW YORK, 17th August.
The New York Times Washington correspondent states that 40 Dutch ships, totalling 100,000 tons, now idle in the Dutch East Indies, will be released to carry sugar, tin, quinine, and other commodities to the United States a.s a result of an informal agreement between the War Trade Board and the Dutch Legation. In return the United States will license a normal quantity of exports to Holland.
