THE ARMENIANS
REPORTED PEACE WITH
TURKEY.
NEW YORK, 17th August.
Tho Armenian Council at Boston learns through Tiflis that the Armenians havo been compelled to sign peace with Turkey, in order to avoid extermination. Other Armenians are fighting the Turks on the Baku-Elizabethpol line. The arrival of the British, it is hoped, will enable a stand to be made. Great distress prevails in Armenia.
