There is beautiful weather for the second day of the Grand National meeting. The going' is excellent, and the attendance is large. Results:—
Aylesbury Steeplechase, of 200 soys; about 2£ miles.—Gaekwar, 11.13, 1; Bore, 12.8, 2; Ormesby, 13.0, 3. Scratched: Brown Joe. Won by seven lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, smin 13 2-ssec.
Redcliffs Handicap, of 200 soys; seven furlongs.—Warform, 9.13, 1; Jingo,- 9.5, 2; Turpinite, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Royal Prince. Won by a length. Time lmin 31sec.
August Handicap, of 400 soys; 6 furlongs.—All Over, 9.5, 1; Ibex, 9.10, 2; Form Up, 11.9, 3. Bedford was scratched. Won by a bare length, half a length between second and third. Time, lmin 14 3-Ssec.
Beaufort Steeples, of 500 soys; about three miles.—Coalition, 11.2, 1; Yellow and Black, 10.8, 2; Sylvia, 9.7, 3. Scratched: Waimai. Ormesby, Arlington, and Merry Lad made the running for two miles, when Coalition joined them. Arlington and- Coalition were together at the entrance to the straight, where Arlington ran off, leaving Coalition to win comfortably by two lengths. Time, 6min 5 2-ssec. i
