THE GERMAN LOSSES
EXCESSIVE NUMBER OP DEAD

LONDON, 15th August.
Between 600 and 700 guns have been captured by the British Fourth and the French First and Third Armies, of which 450 were captured by the British. The German losses since Bth August have been greater in proportion to the Allies' losses than in any previous battle. The number of their dead especially enormously exceed ours.
