SALE OF LANDS
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., WelHington, report having conducted an auction sale of land on account of the trutees o£ the late J. H. Bacchus and Mrs. Enid Bacchus^ of Manakau, on Wednesday. There "was a large attendance of the public, and as a result the homestead block of 246 acres 3 roods 35s perches was disposed of at £30 per acre, which is considered a very satisfactory price. The 279 acres 1 rood 8 perches was passed in, the reserve not being reached/ and is now open for private-sale.
