COUNCIL'S MILK-DISTRIBUTING UNDERTAKING

The City Council is arranging for the distribution of milk to residents of Wellington City and Suburbs under the "block" system, and to ensure that every householder's requirements will be met from the commencement of the scheme, the council (commencing on Monday next) is sending to each householder, per medium of the ; letter-carrier, a card asking the quantity of milk required daily. Failure to fill in and return the card to the letter-carrier when he calls may result in persons being without milk upon the commencement of the scheme, and consequently the householder will be entirely to blame. In bur advertising columns there appears a facsimile of the card which will be delivered to each house. Householders are requested to read it carefully, so that when the postman calls they will know how to fill it in accurately. If the filling in is done as soon as the postman calls, householders will save the Postal Department's and the council's time considerably. The particulars required on the card are essential to enable the council to successfully undertake its distribution scheme.

Householders not receiving a card by the 10th September should ask their let-ter-carriers, in order to ensure a supply of milk when the scheme commences.
