The Suva correspondent of the Auckland Star gives further particulars of the wreck ot the copra schooner A. M. Baxter, briefly reported in Wednesday's Post. „He says that the' Vessel left Suva with a fair wind.on Wednesday at midday: at 1f1.50 the same night she .wiled full tilt on to the reef with all her sails set. She had on board 740 tons of copra, and was bound for San Francisco. It was impossible ior the crew to leave the vessel at night, but when daylight came they managed to get away In two boats. Captain M. A. HeUquist, with the cook and two seamen, took charge of a email boat, and endeavoured to reach Suva. They got as far as Yanucca, where they landed exhausted after 18 hours. The natives there took them in and treated them hospitably.' The natives then brought them on to Navua, which place was reached at a late hour on the night of 17th July.
