ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
To-morrow,_ Association football enthusiasts will witness what should prove to be cne of the most exciting matches of the season. Marist Old Boys will have opposed to, them Porirua, and the game will decide who is to be the premier senior team for the season. Both teams have against their credit one loss and two draws each, so that they show an equal number of points in the competition. Although Porirua have lost many of their best known players, owing to the war, they still retain Cross and Wallace, two formidable full-backs The Marist boys are in the competition' for the first time, and their success has been phenomenal. Among them are Albert Lowe, Auld, Carruthers, and others well known to the "Soccer" fraternity. The game is set down for Association Park, Kilbirnie, at 3 p.m. Mr. V. Astall will referee.
