' The Gaelic Athletic Association, as a direct challenge to the Government's proclamation, proposes to hold sports festivals throughout the country on Sunday. .week, without asking, permission. Branches of the Sinn Fein have been instructed that they must not ask for or accept permits. "Demonstrations by the General, .Workers' Union are to be made. The Hibernians and the United jrish League are acting in a sitnilar way- in defiance of the Government.
