LONDON, 24th July. The King visited an important naval depot, where he inspected the biggest and most powerful naval force ever assembled. American vessels participated in the. pageant.
His Majesty proceeded to the quarterdeck of the flagship for an unparalleled historical ceremony—a wartime investiture afloat—and decorated officers and men of the American and British Navies for gallant exploits.
