lA very handsome challenge shield for secondary school cadets has been presented by Mf. J. L, Pasamoie, of Dutiedin; The shield is to be competed for annually, ahd is to go to the' school whose cadets possess the highest standard of discipline and general efficiency,' the aw"d to be made'by'the-■Director of Military Training and the General Staff officers of the districts. The shield, is ot thick fumed oak, with silver scroll and name plates, and a handsome centrepiece representing a New Zealand cadet and a territorial supporting the Imperial -Crown, surmounting a handsome enamelled device representing the New Zealand flag .superimposed on the British aims. . .
